Privacy Policy
Text Viewer does not directly collect personal information such as your name or contact details. The contents of the files you read never leave your device. To keep the app free, it shows ads from Google AdMob, and in doing so the information below may be shared with the ad provider.
1. Information the App Collects Directly
None. The app and its developer do not receive or keep any personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or location. There is no sign-up or sign-in.
2. Ads (Google AdMob)
The app shows a banner ad at the bottom of the reading screen and, when you choose, a rewarded ad for going ad-free for a day. The text on the reading screen ends above the ad, so the ad never covers what you're reading. No ads are shown while you're ad-free for the day. To show ads and measure their performance, Google may process the following information.

- When you first open the app, iOS asks whether to allow tracking. If you don't allow it, you'll see non-personalized ads and can still use every feature of the app.
- You can change tracking permission at any time in iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- In the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, and similar regions, an ad consent screen is shown as required by law. You can change your consent under Privacy Options in the app's settings.
- Google processes this information under the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
3. Information Stored on Your Device
The following information is stored only in the app's storage on your device and is not sent to anyone, including the developer.
- Imported text files and folders
- Reading position and progress for each file, and the order of your list
- Reading settings (font size, font, theme, and so on), auto-scroll settings, and the language setting
- The time your ad-free day ends
This information is deleted when you delete the app. You can also delete files yourself inside the app.
4. File Access
The app only reads files that you add yourself through Import, sharing, the Files app, or Finder on a Mac. It does not access any other files, photos, or contacts. The contents of your files are never sent anywhere, including to ad providers.
5. Motion Sensor
If Stop on Shake or Drop is turned on in Settings, the app reads the device's accelerometer only while auto-scroll is running, to detect shaking or falling. Sensor values are used on the device for that decision only and are never stored or sent.
6. This Website
This website does not use cookies or visitor analytics. The web server may keep access logs (IP address, time of access, and the address requested) for a limited period for security and operations.
7. Changes to This Policy
If the policy changes, this page and the policy inside the app will be updated, along with the effective date above.
